C 1870 The New Indian Game of Tigers and Goats made by Jaques and Son This is just the pieces – The game is played on a chess style board with 15 goats and three tiger pieces – the tigers are placed in the castle – the goats are not on the board – the goats are placed on the board one by one – they can move in any direction – tigers can take goats by leaping over them as in draughts – the game is won by the goats if they enclose the tigers so they cannot move
