Play Card Grammar
This card game is very rare, we can find no reference to it. William Sallis made a small number of board games, and spelling games. He also made at least two card games - The Cottage of Contentment, which is similar in style to this game, but much more frivolous, and this game
Comic Play Grammar consists of 41 cards. The purpose of the game appears to be to teach children grammar.
The cards are numbered from 1 to 15 and different numbers of cards for each number are as follows
1x8(+QV), 2x6, 3x5, 4x3, 5x3, 6-10 all x2, 11-15 all x1. One of the 1 card is Queen Victoria which does not seem to fit with the others in the way of teaching grammar
Condition This appears complete from the make-up of the cards and the fact that the box is full and could not accept another card. Cards are all very pretty and in very good condition (but slightly concave). The original box is good, some wear at the edge. There are no rules.
Postage / As postage often changes it will be provided at time of purchase. Postage will be at cost rounded up to the nearest £1.00 to cover packaging.
