The dates on the cards mainly cover th 12th, 13th, 14th, an 15th centuries with only a couple between BC55 and The Battle of Hastings

This game is not common
It is a loto / bingo game - where the winner complete a single row. The Loto Cards have three rows of five musical symbol / notes etc. When the called card has been matched the player covers their symbol with a musical instructment card.


Music Loto - Condition - Note Cards 80/90 / Symbol cards 76/90 / 12 Loto cards (complete) / Rules - photocopy / Box - wooden box with sliding lid - lid damaged at top and missing a small strip of wood / Picture on the lid - very good (small tear at top left) also very attractive in style.

This is a board game created by The Strand Magazine during WWI.
Described as a combination of draughts, chess and war, it is played by two opponents, representing the Allies and the Germans, over a map of actual territory of the war - January 1915.
The Advertisement (copy incuded with the game) for this explains
"The pieces consists of three kinds Infantry, Calvalry & Artillery each with their seperate moves and possiilities...
A letter received from a well-known Colonel sayas:
"I think your War Game is THE BEST OF ITS KIND"
This was published by George Newnes Ltd (publisher)
