A paper on linen game that is unusual for the period.
Instead of rewarding "good deeds" and punishing "selfish ones" as per early Snakes and Ladders - this does the opposite!!
Quote from the V&A
" forfeits are given for helping people or animals, while rewards are given for accepting a lift on a cart. In other games, the forfeit would be paid for this as laziness and the reward, usually counters, for the help"
The playing pieces for this game are unusual. They are made of glazed earthenware marked with the letters A to H on the tops.

Condition - Willy's Walk - Complete - Sheet in good, clean condition / playing pieces undamaged / rules are on the sheet / Box - good and clean, but rubbed and scuffed in places

Postage / As postage often changes it will be provided at time of purchase. Postage will be at cost rounded up to the nearest £1.00 to cover packaging.

This board game, designed by Jap and published by Spears, follows the three routes from London to Edinburgh.
In 1860 Walter Leith – General Passenger Superintendent of the Great Northern Railway – suggested that the three companies that operated on the East Coast Route (the GNR, the North Eastern and the North British) share the cost of new coaches for the route from London to Edinburgh.
The result was the East Coast Joint Stock and in June 1862 a new service began using these coaches.
It departed from London Kings Cross going north and from Edinburgh going south, simultaneously at 10am, passing each other roughly half-way.
This game is a standard race game which has three different trains racing along the three routes.

Condition - The Flying Scotchman - complete / This game has little sign that it was ever used / Board - mint - 6 playing pieces - very good / Rules in lid / Box - split at corners and a little grubby.
