1905 The Trafalgar Centenary Playing
Cards by Goodall
This deck of playing cards 52/53+J was issued to commemorate
The Battle of Trafalgar. The backs show Horatio Viscount Nelson, Died Cot
21st 1805 - with a sculpture of him and a painting of the battle. Cards are
in good condition - no damage but lightly used - gold edging still visible
- They are in their original two part telescopic box - with the details in
gold on white - There is some old repair to the box with tape but it is complete. |

De La Rue Bezique Playing Cards Boxed - c1910.?
Made in England. This double Bezique deck of playing cards 2*(32/32) Was made c 1910 /1914 The backs are blue with a darker blue pattern The cards are wide with indices The courts are the less fancy De La Rue courts The indices are large for this period and on all four corners The cards are in v good condition - no bends, creases etc Just v light use There are two card markers for scoring One a little scuffed where the pointer has rubbed on the card And rules for both Bezique and Polish Bezique are on card The box is pale blue with dark blue lettering With the suit symbols round the edges The box is in v good - just lightly scuffed at the edges- Postage Category C |

This deck of playing cards (52/52)
are the same style as French cards produced in this period - The courts are
the standard French style and are the same as those published about this
time with "Goodall" and "London" on
the court cards - They could also have been made in Belgium on the basis
of this card stock type. The printing is in red, green, black and yellow-
The faces are left uncoloured - There are indices, backs are plain patterned
pink- the same are a known back made by Goodall - Aces are plain - Cards
are very good comdition - no damage - v little use |

1911 De La Rue's Coronation Dubar
Delhi Playing Cards
The backs have a picture of George V and Mary
on them - with the inscription "Coronation Dubar Delhi 1911" The cards
are complete 52/52 and in near mint condition. They are in their original
box with "Navy Co-operative Society Limited" "Army & Navy" "London
Bombay & Calcutta" on it. Two part telescopic box is excellent
just missing bottom of inner box |

1914 DD Prince Of Wales Patience Playing
Cards
This double deck of playing cards2*( (52/52) +J) is patience sized
- not full sized Its has a non- named ace - used by De la Rue -The backs
have Prince of Wales national relief Fund 1914 on them - One deck has pink
background - the other blue - Cards are in v good no damage, creases etc
- They are in an unmarked leather case which would appear original as the
cards fit so well - It is slightly dirty and has the initials FAR on the
front - there is some splitting to the box |

WW1 PLAYING CARDS - THE ALLIES C 1914 SHOWING A BULLDOG
Made in England by De La Rue - This deck of playing cards (52/52+J+sample card) - Depict the flags of The Allies - Belgium, Great Britain, France and Russia - In the foreground two dogs - An English Bulldog and a French Poodle - With the ?? German Flag in their teeth - The cards are wide measuring approx. 3.25 by 4.5 inches - The cards are in v good + condition - No damage (except a crease to the Joker - scanned) - And two v lightly creased corners (one scanned) - Bu lightly used. - The two part telescopic box has on it - ”The Allies Playing Cards” - ”Similar to those - Specially Manufactured for and Presented to - the Sick and Wounded of His Majesty’s Forces” - ”by Thos De La Rue & Co Ltd” - The box is missing a narrow side on the outer part - And a small part 1mm is missing from the inner box - Sample card etc. are all v good- Postage Category A |

Made by Leonard Biermans Soc An Turnout - Belgium - This deck of playing cards (52/52+J) - Were produced as an advertising deck to show the different backs available - Hence the backs are three different colors - Green, blue and pink - Picture shows a vintage car tyres and flora decorating the borders - All printing is blue on the different backs - Cards are mint sill with original wrapper - They are v slightly concave - Box is good but the top flap and part of one short side are damaged- Postage Category A |

Made in England c1920 – Manufacturer and tax wrapped - This deck of playing cards (52/52+J – assumed) - Are wrapped in the Goodall Gold Medal Packaging - And also have a tax wrapper over this - This deck comes in a two part telescopic box - That is dark maroon - The outer case having a coat of arms with the words - ”Confido Gold Berry” on it in gold - And a signature John Walker & Sons Ld - The sample card on the other side - The tax wrapper is slightly loose and can be partly removed - But it is attached to the wrapper which is still tied with cotton - Box is also mint- Postage Category A |

Made by Waddingtons in England - This double deck of playing cards 2*(52/52) +1 J - Depict 1930s dressed men playing energetic golf shots - One deck is entitled “Clono-spasm” and features a bunker shot - The other is entitled “Paraphrasia Tarda” and features a putting shot - The cards have been used and so are a little dirty - Three have v light creases – (worst scanned) - The gold edging is just visible - The cards are in a two part box – with sample cards - And engraved as a gift from Oppenheimer Son & Co Ltd - The box is good – complete but split down one side- Postage Category B |

GENERAL DE GAULLE CRESTED PLAYING CARDS - VERY LIMITED EDITION.
In the late sixties the then Prime Minister - Harold Wilson - had a summit meeting with the then President of France - General Charles de Gaulle. - - Harold Wilson dreamed up the idea of presenting the President with - four pack of playing cards in a presentation case to - mark the occasion. - - He commissioned Wadington to produce ten packs of cards - with the Presidents Initials against the background of the - French Flag; all against a background of Blue with Golden Fleurs de Lis - - Wilson kept two decks and it is not known what happened to the others. - - Undoubtedly other packs exist as is the way with scarce items and it - is likely that a few packs found themselves in the possession of an employee or two. - - This a complete mint sealed deck - scarce - it's was the property - of Waddington's Works Manager.- Postage Category A |
