CIP3224 Picture c1750 LENTHALL'S FORTUNE TELLING PLAYING CARDS - The pack supplies 13 answers to each of 20 questions - This is the second edition with a garter tax stamp dating it to between 1744-1756 - The cards were first advertised c1690 and sold until c1750 - Each suit (I to XIII) has a mix of cards - there are 12 astrological signs (5 on Hearts and Diamonds and 2 on Spades) there are 8 planet symbol (Saturn, Sun, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Jupiter, and North Node) - There are two instruction cards which explains the way of laying out the cards - many of which have a number of predictions on them depending on the layout - The cards are in excellent condition - no damage or bends a little foxed - this is a complete deck 52/52 plus two instruction cards- Postage Category A ASK 0
CIP3750 Picture c1780s FORTUNE TELLING / MAGIC CARDS - (missing 9H, 9D and JH - two direction cards, and red wheel of Fortune) - Primative Courts - So this consists of 45/48 playing cards (Numbered from 2 to 13) + 1of 2 wheel of fortune (we believe from the directions there are only two) + 2 of 4 Direction (Instructions)+ 4/4 blanks (this appear to have been used as aces as the suit symbol has been penciled on very light- possibly avoiding the heavy tax by not having aces if the cards were used as playing cards) The directions mention the oracle at Delphi and that "the oracle of Delphos commanded to exclude the 4 aces" and the interpretation being done by a "conjurer" - The Court cards are French Style - Jacks have Fleur de Lils between their feet - black Jacks feathers in their hats - King of Clubs holds Cross of Lorraine - Diamonds and Hearts are red stenciled cards (including court cards) but excluding borders - Each card has a four line fortune at the base - a couple of the cards are slightly wrinkled as if they were not put on the card correctly but otherwise the condition is excellent.- The wheel of fortune is prick to select the cards which then reveal your fortune.- Postage Category A ASK 0

Probably made by Vereinigte Stralsunder Spielkarten Fabriken AG - - This deck of playing cards (78/78) - - 56 normal cards + 22 trump cards - Are Color Lithe printed - - The trump cards show country people at work and at play - There is a tax stamp on the Ace of Hearts - Dating the cards to c1878-1888 from Stralsund - There is a makers' mark on the Queen of Club - Cards are excellent condition - no creases, damage etc - There is a checked box missing the top with a patterned lining - There is nothing to link the cards to the box.- Postage Category A

TRO607 Picture 1896 Ye Witches Fortune Telling Cards – part transformation.
Issued by the United States Playing Card Company in 1896 this complete deck comprises 52/52 cards plus a Joker plus booklet describing the Fortune Telling Game. The backs are also interesting. The deck is partial transformation. The cards are in EF- condition with the appropriate box which is a bit scuffed here and the and bears the Retailers Tag of Harrisons in Washington D.C.- Postage Category A
