c1870/80 DE LA RUE PLAYING CARDS - YE LANGHAM HOTEL - Backs with Hotel - Portland Place, London - Horse and Coaches - This deck of playing cards (52/52) - Are square cornered with no indices - The backs are early advertising for - "Ye Langham Hotel Portland Place London" on them - There is also a picture of the hotel - The details surrounding the hotel is lovely - Horse drawn coaches, Horsemen, dogs - And on the left hand side what appears to be a military procession - Again with horses and horsemen in uniform - The cards themselves are excellent / n mint - no damage - little sign of use - except one that has small mark on it (see scan)- Postage Category A |

Goodall Johnnie Walker Whiskey Playing Cards Made in England c1920 – Manufacturer and tax wrapped - This deck of playing cards (52/52+J – assumed) - Are wrapped in the Goodall Gold Medal Packaging - And also have a tax wrapper over this - This deck comes in a two part telescopic box - That is dark maroon - The outer case having a coat of arms with the words - ”Confido Gold Berry” on it in gold - And a signature John Walker & Sons Ld - The sample card on the other side - The tax wrapper is slightly loose and can be partly removed - But it is attached to the wrapper which is still tied with cotton - Box is also mint- Postage Category A |
