MAD936 Picture c1870/80 DE LA RUE PLAYING CARDS - YE LANGHAM HOTEL - Backs with Hotel - Portland Place, London - Horse and Coaches - This deck of playing cards (52/52) - Are square cornered with no indices - The backs are early advertising for - "Ye Langham Hotel Portland Place London" on them - There is also a picture of the hotel - The details surrounding the hotel is lovely - Horse drawn coaches, Horsemen, dogs - And on the left hand side what appears to be a military procession - Again with horses and horsemen in uniform - The cards themselves are excellent / n mint - no damage - little sign of use - except one that has small mark on it (see scan)- Postage Category A 300 150
CNE3253 Picture c1900 HAMBURG AMERIKA SHIPPING LINE PLAYING CARDS - Courts are ASS wonderful Art Nouveau legends - This deck of playing cards (52/52) - Has wonderful art nouveau courts depict legendary characters - The deck was published c1900 - It has an old style eagle and was taxed at Allenburg - The backs advertise a shipping line - The cards are excellent - strong gold corners - Little sign of any use - They are in the inner case of a two part telescopic box - Which has the remnants of an importation tax stamp on it - It may not be the original box- Postage Category A 240 120
MAD930 Picture c1910 BRASEBOSE COLLEGE - OXFORD UNIVERSITY PLAYING CARDS by GOODAL - This deck of playing cards (52/52+J) depicts the Coat of Arms of Brasenose College on the back - old wide cards - in excellent condition with light use -with part of original box- Postage Category A 36 18

Made in England c1920 – Manufacturer and tax wrapped - This deck of playing cards (52/52+J – assumed) - Are wrapped in the Goodall Gold Medal Packaging - And also have a tax wrapper over this - This deck comes in a two part telescopic box - That is dark maroon - The outer case having a coat of arms with the words - ”Confido Gold Berry” on it in gold - And a signature John Walker & Sons Ld - The sample card on the other side - The tax wrapper is slightly loose and can be partly removed - But it is attached to the wrapper which is still tied with cotton - Box is also mint- Postage Category A

MAD3266 Picture c1930s MISR SHIPPING LINE PLAYING CARDS - This deck of playing cards (52/52) - Depict on the backs A flag, the initials MISR and a ship reflected in the sea - The Ace has AMIR Amirayan & Co on it (possibly made in Egypt) - The cards are wide with indices on all four corners - The cards are on v good + condition - lightly used but undamaged - No bends or creases - The to part telescopic box is undamaged - There is light pencil scribble on the inner section - The outer section has two sample cards on it - it is v slightly dirty with everyday wear - otherwise v good -- Postage Category A 70 35

Made by De La Rue - England - This double deck of playing cards 2*(52+2J) - Has an insert in the box - Showing a picture of - Nimbus - The winner of the 1949 Derby and 2000 Guineas - Which was bred by William Hill - who owed the Bookies - The cards themselves have the initials WH on them - The cards are in v good condition - just v lightly used - No bends or creases - The box is excellent - a little light scuffing at the corners - Sample cards on the back - And the picture of Nimbus inside the lid.- Postage Category A
