1890s Magic Folding Paper Item Long Noses
Probably German or Italian - This is two folded sheet of paper - With a double isded piece of glass at the centre - The sheets measure 12.5 inches by 7.5 inches when opened - The sheets are divided into nine equal boxes - three rows and three columns - There are picture in four boxes on one sheet - And the other sheet, which is back to back with the first sheet, - and has three pictures on it - And one side central panel missing on the second sheet - (this is attached to the cover so there is no gap there) - The centre panel itself is glass - All the characters in the pictures have v long noses - The paper can be folded in many way - So we presume this is a complex magic trick with clever folding - Changing the picrues by the way the paper in folded and unfolded - Pictures are color lithe printed - There is a v slight wear marks / small splits on the folds of the paper - (see the photos) - It is difficult to fold correctly and - obviously has not always been folded correctly in the past -- Postage Category A |
