8 HORSES VERSION -This delightful game in is a mahogany box - a luxury - top of the range version of this lovely horse racing game - The ivory handle is turned and the string winds the horses in - depending on how the string wind ie on top of its self or along the spindle horses move at different rates - The condition is generally excellent but there is some damage to the horses - 3 are missing tails - 2 are missing the ring that attaches them to the string - (it can be tied around their neck) 1 is slightly smaller than the rest - It is large measuring 13 by 7 by 4.5 inches -Inside there is space for chips as well as the eight horses. The game is v good - paint wear as to be expected on a game of this age - the box and label are lovely and bright.- Postage Category X |

early edition - This horses racing game is based on movement depending on the card turned over - It consists of original rules, wood and metal croupier's chip mover, racing/betting green sheet, chips and playing cards - This is the five horses version - but six horses were provided presumably one as a spare - later the double event version was published with eight horses and more complex betting options - The condition is good - the horses are missing tails and the odd leg - but original - the rules etc are all v good - the box is distressed - complete but with nearly al corners spilt - again later versions were produced is firmer boxes but this box is vsoft and hence bends v easily.- Postage Category X |
