GBT948 Picture c1920S THE GAME OF PLOPITIN - TABLE TENNIS - Made in England by Glevum Series - This item is described in the rules as - "As Interesting and skilful as Table Tennis" - Advantages - "can be played on a small table & in a small room - No stooping, as the ball in never on the floor - Exercise not to strenuous (sic) - can be played as a Game, or a Pastime for one" - The game consists of a board, - with holes with values associated with each hole - A stand - Two racquets, - And a ball on a piece of string - The rules are in the box lid - The game is in excellent condition - balls are a little dented - The box lid has been taped at the bottom right hand corner - And some damage to the corners - The picture is lovely period art work- Postage Category 90 45
GBT939 Picture 1930s GREAT GRAPHICS BOXED TABLE TENNIS SET - Complete - - This item consists of - Two racquets, clamps, and three table tennis balls - (we are not experts at table tennis balls but think two are original and one possibly a later replacement) - The racquets have cork handles and wooden faces - Clamps are metal - All the items are excellent - no damage - little sign of use - The box is great - - The inside is mint with original slots for balls and racquets handles - The box is n mint - odd v light scuffs along the edges but no damage - The lid lovely - The picture typical of the period - A man smoking while he plays -- Postage Category 36 18
