Osborne, at Gray's Inn 1767 SIGNED by Edmond Hoyle at the close of the Advertisement [This is the final edition printed in Hoyle's (d. 1769) lifetime] confirms that this is an authorized edition of his hugely popular book on whist and other games. He arranged with his publisher to sign authorized copies to defeat the attempts of pirating publishers - This copy is bound in original leather with raised spine bands - Spine has "Hoyle" in Gold - Please see pictures as I do not know to describe the condition of books - No evidence of worm but pages are lightly foxed which does not interfere with the print or the readability of the book- Postage Category B |
